User Guide - akira-cooper-dev/brainstorm GitHub Wiki
This page explains how to use the features in the Brainstorm app for a logged in user.
Click on the chat room icon at the top of the navigation bar. Click the icon to the right of the "Chat Rooms" title to create a new chat room.
Click "Create" when you're finished to create a new chat room. The new chat room will appear to the left of the chat window.
You will need to get the chat room code (6-digit number) from one of the chat room members. Enter the code in the input field at the top and click the "Join" button.

Simply click on the blue input box at the bottom, type a message, and click enter.

Click on one of the members in the list at the far-right side of the chat room. Enter a message in the box that appears below their name, and then click "Send".
Click on the envelope icon on the left navigation bar to view your direct messages.

To create a brainstorm session, click on the "Create Brainstorm Session" button at the top-right corner of the chat window.
You can add a title, description, and a timer to determine how long the session will run for. Click "Create" when you're finished to create the session.
You will now enter the brainstorm session you just created. When you are ready to start the session, click the green "Start" button at the bottom right corner.
You may now start typing ideas as per the brainstorming process. You can choose to delete ideas you've submitted by clicking on the red garbage can icon. These ideas will only be revealed to you until the timer runs out or until you click the "End Round" button.
When the round ends, all participants will be brought to the voting phase. Click the thumbs up or thumbs down symbol to like or dislike ideas respectively. If you wish to end the voting phase before the timer ends, click the "End Voting" button.
Once the voting phase is over, the results will be polled and shown on the screen. You can choose to conduct additional voting rounds (to narrow down a list of ideas to a smaller length) by clicking on the "Vote Again" button.
Click the red X symbol at the top left corner to exit the brainstorm session.
You can view the brainstorm session results in the same chat room where the session was created.

You can delete your own messages, either in a chat room or direct message correspondence, by simply hovering over a message bubble and clicking the red trash icon.

To edit a chat room, simply hover over a chat room from the list and click on the edit icon to the right of it.
To edit your user profile, click on your display name at the top right corner of the page.
