Verify the version of Mysql it should be 5.5 or above:
rpm -qa | grep ^mysql | grep server

If its not, then install it:
yum install mysql55w mysql55w-devel mysql55w-libs

If you already have mysql but its not right version:
yum replace mysql --replace-with mysql55w

Start mysql-server:
/etc/init.d/mysqld start

You will need to update your already present DBs:
mysql_upgrade -u root -p

Edit my.cnf:
nano /etc/my.cnf
[mysqld]

group_concat_max_len    = 8192
Save file.
Restart mysql for changes to take effect:
/etc/init.d/mysqld restart
