From face detection technology implemented in our cameras to intelligent agencies'™ sophisticated global skynet surveillance system, such techniques have been widely used in a large number of areas and the market is still growing with a high speed. For example, it has been used in access and security, criminal identification, and also health care.

Face detection and recognition is seeing wider use in practice, especially in social security. While the face detection for images has been well-developed, there is not enough investigation on detecting faces in real-time videos. Due to the fact that images in videos keeps changing, there is always a trade off between the speed and accuracy of detection and recognition. Apart from the seminal methods that has been proposed years ago, like the VGG-16 [7], we are going to implement the most recent techniques.
