Pre-Loaded Simulators

Some simulators can take an extremely long time to generate (e.g. 24hrs or more) so it is more convenient to generate them "offline" rather than with the UI. Bitnobi can identify such a Simulator as being not associated with a Bitnobi Workflow.

There is page in the "Admin" section of the UI called “Preloaded Simulator Management” that fetches a list of “pre-loaded” Simulators from replica-synthesis. The Admin can select one or more of these simulators and push a button to create “placeholder workflows” to own the simulators. The name, description of the placeholder workflow is created from the simulator name, description.

These placeholder workflows then appear in the “Workflows” page and the admin can set the “Access Control” properties of these workflows control which users can access them. Placeholder workflows:

  • cannot be edited or executed and do not support Data Transfer operations.
  • can have their name and description updated.
  • if deleted, the corresponding Simulator is again marked as "pre-loaded".
  • will not appear in the Workflow editor “Local” element list because they do not have result sets.
