#BOM for terminal tedium

##PCM5102a version [phased out]

###resistors 0805:

  • 220R 3x
  • 220R ferrit 2x (BLM21PG221SN1D)
  • 470R 2x
  • 510R 3x
  • 1k 12x
  • 10k 2x
  • 20k 2x
  • 33k 20x
  • 49k9 6x
  • 100k 20x
  • led resistors 2x (‡‡)

###caps 0805 (16v or better):

  • 47pf 2x (NP0/C0G)
  • 100n 32x
  • 330n 2x
  • 10n 2x (NP0/C0G, may be 1206)
  • 1u 2x (may be 1206)
  • 2u2 3x (may be 1206)

###ICs/semis/etc:

  • PCM5102A (TSSOP): 1x (mouser # 595-PCM5102APWR)
  • MCP3208 (SOIC16): 1x (mouser # 579-MCP3208CISL)
  • TL072 (SOIC8): 5x (‡‡‡)
  • LM358 (SOIC8): 1x
  • NPN transistors (MMBT3904): 4x
  • SM5817 Schottky diodes: 3x (or use 1206 ferrit bead, rated 1A)
  • BAT54s Schottky diodes: (sot-23) 8x
  • ADP150 regulator (3v3, TSOT): 1x (mouser # 584-ADP150AUJZ-3.3R7)

###through-hole parts:

  • 10uH inductance 1x
  • 10uF (electrolytic) 1x
  • 22uf (electrolytic) 3x
  • +3v3 regulator 78L33 1x (TO 92)
  • -5v regulator 79L05 1x (TO 92) (or replace with LM4040-5v + ~ 1k 0805 resistor (‡))
  • +5v RECOM 785.0 1.0. 1x (the 500 ma version should do for models a+, b+; pi 2 needs 1.0, it looks like; as a cheaper solution, use a 7805)
  • LEDs 2x (i'd use ultrabright)

###misc:

  • jacks 16x (thonkiconn/kobiconn)
  • pots 6x (9mm vertical; linear (50k-100k will do)
  • tact switches 3x (multimecs 5E/5G) (mouser #: 642-5GTH935)
  • & caps 3x (multimecs “1SS09-15.0”) (mouser #: 642-1SS09-15.0, or 16.0)
  • single row 2-pin male header (RM2.54) + little jumper plastic thingie to match (or use wire): 1x
  • LONG female headers to match rpi b+ GPIO (2x20, RM2.54): 1x (‡‡‡‡)
  • spacer/standoff (M3) (to match the 2x20 header): 2x (c. 20mm)

###pin headers / male+female each:

  • 12 pin : 1x
  • 13 pin : 1x
  • 15 pin : 1x

##notes:

  • (‡) replacing the 79L05 with a LM4040 is fairly straightforward, but they're not pin-compatible, of course. it might reduce jitter slightly.
  • (‡‡) i'd use ultrabright leds, and correspondingly large resistor values (to taste)
  • (‡‡‡) one of the TL072 is in the audio path — if you’d like to use something better for the output stage, i’ve used an OPA1662
  • (‡‡‡‡) four of these, for example, will do.
