Exporting to Word

Office2KDP can automatically create a KDP-ready Microsoft Word document using your chosen settings.

How It Works

Once you configure your trim size, margins, page count, and headers:

• A built-in VBA macro generates a new Word .docx file
• The page size, orientation, margins, header/footer distances, and gutter are applied
• A small settings summary is added to the top of the document for reference

Using the Export Feature

1. Go to the Your Document tab
2. Configure your desired layout options
3. Ensure macros are enabled
4. Click the Create Word Template button

A new Word file will open with all formatting applied and ready to use.

Customizations

You can edit the generated file just like any other Word document - add styles, insert page numbers, or paste in your manuscript text.

We recommend:

• Using Word’s Styles for consistent formatting
• Keeping the settings summary for future reference
