Overview
Verrucomicrobiota are a small group of Gram-negative bacteria, typically isolated from fresh water, marine and soil environments, and human faeces. Along with Chlamydiota (formerly Chlamydiae) and Lentisphaerota (formerly Lentisphaerae), it is part of the PVC superphylum.
