NOTE: Downgrading HD saves back to PS2 is not currently supported. It should theoretically be possible, but I don't have a good way to test it.

Extract PS2 Save File
PS2 saves come in a ton of different formats. I'll cover a few of the most common kinds here:
Digital PS2 save files (AR Max, CodeBreaker, nPort, XPort, Sharkport, etc.)
- If your save file is in one of these formats, then follow these instructions.
.pws
(AR Max Cower Save).max
(AR Max V2).cbs

Copy your save file to your PC.

Run
PS2 Save Builder
and open your save file. -
You should see a list of files. There should be one that starts with
BISLPS
orBASLUS
. Locate that file in the list. -
Right-click on that file and select
Extract
. -
Select a destination to save this extracted save to.
Now your file is ready to be used as an input to the program!

.psv
format, then follow these instructions.

Copy your save file to your PC.

Run
PSV Exporter
and open your save file. -
You should see a list of files. There should be one that starts with
BISLPS
orBASLUS
. Locate that file in the list. -
Right-click on that file and select
Extract File
. -
Select a destination to save this extracted save to.
Now your file is ready to be used as an input to the program!
