Primary purposes of email list

• informing people about new opportunities to help us
• recruit research participants
• ideation phase rather than production phase
• people who need to know how to get started as a contributor
• people who need help or are stuck in trying to contribute
• information sharing about new projects /guidelines to help people become better contributors
• Post ideas that people have about new features that they want to work on

Secondary purposes of email list

• sharing design resources?
• communicating about our blog posts / brownbags
• intern or job openings in UX? (hehe)
• book club / meetups
• general questions about UX resources /tips
• discussions about how design and research can become more open

This list isn't for:

• critiques of design work (should be in the product team's flow-- point of contacts)
• Critiquing others' work: People shouldn't feel attacked, and maybe say something nice or productinve
• showcasing own design work
• not for complaining about Mozilla UI. If you want to improve it, that's fine!
