QUICK START installation guide and optimal settings

PC App Installation

  1. DOWNLOAD: get the newest .exe from the Releases page
  2. INSTALL: choose default full install and keep "Install VBCable (recommended)" checked
  3. STARTUP: open the application ✅

  1. OUTPUT DEVICE: choose "CABLE Input" from the dropdown
  2. SET-UP NOW: if prompted with "detected a misconfiguration", select "set-up now", choose your default mic and confirm

If this step fails, look up the manual mic setup section

  1. ADD TAB: Click on "add tab" and select a folder with sound files (repeat for every tab you want)
  2. SETTINGS: Open "settings" and choose "mute microphone during playback"
  3. HOTKEY: choose the same button you use in-game to talk ✅

Game/Discord Setup

  1. GAME MIC: In a game/discord, choose "CABLE Output" as your microphone (now plays your mic and sounds)
  2. OPTIONAL: If your game supports double keybinds, set an unused F-Key (e.g. F7) as second push-to-talk button and select that for step 7 ✅

Mobile App Installation

  1. DESKTOP: right-click on the Soundux taskbar icon (bottom right of Windows taskbar ᐱ )
  2. PHONE BROWSER: on your phone's browser, visit the IP shown for "Use Remote" (e.g. 192.168.178.36:8080)
  3. Enter PIN: on the Soundux Remote login screen, enter the "Remote PIN" from the taskbar icon
  4. APP ICON: optionally, for easy access use your browser's "Add to Home Screen" feature ✅
