For studying the efficiency and the mistag rate of MET filters we need to specify the phase spaces properly which highly depends on the dataset. the conditions are listed below:

  • Applying Jet ID (TWiki page)
    • 2016: Loose WP
    • 2017: TightLepVeto WP
    • 2018: TightLepVeto WP

  • Applying Medium WP for Muon ID (TWiki page)

  • Applying Tight WP in PF Isolation for Muon (TWiki page)


  • Conditions for JetHT dataset
    • Number of Jets (with pt > 200 GeV) >= 2
    • Δφ > 2.9
    • 0.8 < pt(j1) / pt(j2) <1.2
    • PF MET < 100 GeV

  • Conditions for DoubleMuon dataset
    • Number of Muons (with pt > 30 GeV) == 2
    • 81 GeV < Inv. Mass of Muons system < 101 GeV
    • PF MET < 50 GeV

  • Conditions for EGamma and Single Electron datasets
    • Number of Electrons (with pt > 30 GeV) == 2
    • 81 GeV < Inv. Mass of Electrons system < 101 GeV
    • PF MET < 50 GeV

  • Conditions for SingleMuon dataset
    • Number of Muons (with pt > 30 GeV) == 1
    • Transvers mass of (Muon + PF MET) system < 120 GeV
    • PF MET < 100 GeV

  • Conditions for MC datasets
    • MET < 100 GeV
