Summary

In the 4-1 Lab, we were working with Packet Tracer. We set different PCs IP, subnet masks, and gateways. Also we set IPs on the interfaces as well. Then we worked with the Simulation mode and worked to see the outputs.

Helpful Info

To set the gateway for a PC, choose the Config tab, then choose Settings in the menu. Then you can enter the gateway IP in the Gateway box.

To set the IP and subnet mask on different interfaces of a multilayer switch, click on the multilayer switch, choose the Config tab, then pick the Fast Ethernet interface that you want and enter the IP and subnet masks in the labeled boxes.

To enter Simulation mode in Packet Tracer, click on the Simulation button on the bottom right of the main screen.

To set which types you want to see in the Simulation mode, click on the Edit Filters box on the bottom. A new window will open and you can click on the filters you want to see.
