Installing Script‐Ware - modedp/script-ware-documentation GitHub Wiki

The following articles detail how to install Script-Ware on its respective platforms.

Windows

After purchasing Script-Ware, you will be automatically directed to a web-page which allows you to make your own personal Script-Ware account. If you have not managed to reach this page, please check the email you used to purchase your account, you will have a backup page there.

If this is still not the case, contact [email protected] with relevant information to get your issue resolved.

Script-Ware's Software Launcher 🌠

Script-Ware features a multi-language installer program that installs Script-Ware onto your computer. This launcher will also look for, download and install all other Script-Ware dependencies (notably, the Visual C++ Redistributable) for you so you do not have to.

What is the difference between the administrator and non-administrator versions of the Script-Ware installer?

The main difference is that the administrator version will locate and install the dependencies Script-Ware requires entirely by itself, you won't need to do anything.

Whereas, with the Non Administrator version, it will simply notify you that those dependencies are not on your system and guide you to where to install them, requiring you to manually install them.

Once Script-Ware is installed, it will open up the log-in page where you will easily enter in your username and password of which you had just set up during your purchase session. If you have accidentally forgotten this information, you can easily request for a password reset through this link.

If you've had an error during installation, you may contact our support team on the dashboard or over on our Discord server.

It is very much recommended you install Script-Ware in its very own folder!

Ensuring Script-Ware is safe from any false positives by installed anti-viruses.

Due to the way Script-Ware runs it's scripts, anti-virus software may accidently identify it as malicious software.

If your anti-virus finds Script-Ware to not be considered safe, it is best that you exclude Script-Ware and all of its files from your anti-virus.

The most common type of anti-virus on Windows computers is Windows Defender, the following video will show you how to exclude software from your anti-virus.

Excluding Script-Ware from Windows Defender

is a relatively simple task!

We will be using Windows 10 to demonstrate how because it is the most popular operating system for Script-Ware. Navigate over to the Windows logo on the bottom left near the search bar and press it.

Press the settings button, above the power button. This will bring you to the main settings page:

Press "Updates & Security" and it will open another page, which looks like so:

Navigate to "Windows Security" on the left-hand side and then press "Virus & threat protection", this will open another window for the actual Windows Defender section.

Press Manage settings under the Virus & threat protection settings section, then scroll all the way down:

Exclusions is what we're looking for! Press "Add or remove exclusions" to open the final window where we will add our Script-Ware folder.

⚠️ Make sure to whitelist the whole folder! Do not just whitelist the Script-Ware executable file, whitelist the entire folder you have installed Script-Ware to.

Press "Folder", and then put the folder exclusion to the folder where you have installed ScriptWare.exe using the above installer. Once this has all been done, you may open ScriptWare.exe and it will be able to install its files without any major problems.

However, you aren't done yet! Please navigate to Adapting to new changes (the next page after this one) once you have loaded Script-Ware and after you have followed this section of the guide to ensure you have a smooth experience.

If the anti-virus keeps trying to remove Script-Ware, you may also disable the real-time detection to enjoy Script-Ware.

Adapting to new changes

As of 31/01/2022 (31st of January 2022), Script-Ware Windows has needed to change the way it operates slightly to accomodate for changes that could jeopardise its security. Please follow the following information to ensure that Script-Ware doesn't have any problems.

Excluding the new file

Script-Ware now creates its core file in a new, unique, folder rather than inside its bin folder. You can locate this folder by accessing your bin folder, which is found where the ScriptWare main file is found, and opening the "README.txt" file. It is found like so:

❗ The folder and file name is unique for EVERY SINGLE computer and user.

znW3UEQEiHSCpP42_zJqU_image

The following directory is where this new file is, in order to ensure that nothing happens to it, we strongly urge you to exclude it from your anti-virus. Due to the way that our software works, typical anti-viruses will automatically assume it is malware. This is what is called a false-positive.

Make your way over to this folder, and it'll look something like this:

Jw32E9rpUu_NatmAB5AMJ_image

The README.txt will inform you of what this file is, to avoid any confusion so you are 100% aware. This file is what Script-Ware primarily uses to achieve its script execution. Please exclude this file.

Excluding via Windows Defender

Head to Windows Defender via your Settings in Windows.

IWYNGyMVFNch-q2RWZS7R_image

Then when clicked, click "Virus and threat protection" as so, there is a "Virus & threat protection settings" setting: click Manage settings.

unknown

Scroll down when you're on that page, and go down to "Exclusions", you will find "Add or remove exclusions". Press this button.

unknown

Once you're in, press "Add an exclusion", and then press "Folder".

unknown

It will then ask you to put the folder to exclude. You can locate this folder by manually locating it, or by referring to the "README.txt" file which is in your bin folder (Where ScriptWare.exe is, this text file gives you the exact folder location). Once this has been put here, you can re-open Script-Ware and you will be 100% set to go. Please also ensure you're excluding all Script-Ware files, too.

You can alternatively entirely disable Windows Defender, which will stop this issue from happening (disabling "Real-time protection"). However, it will automatically turn on after a while meaning you may have to reinstall the files.

If you are still experiencing an issue, please try to delete the .dll folder which is located in the folder you have excluded, as well as trying to entirely delete the bin folder itself.

If you are having issues, you may contact our support team either through our dashboard or via Discord for help.

macOS

After purchasing Script-Ware, you will be automatically directed to a web-page which allows you to make your own personal Script-Ware account. If you have not managed to reach this page, please check the email you used to purchase your account, you will have a backup page there.

If this is still not the case, contact [email protected] with relevant information to get your issue resolved. Or refer to Purchase Failure. You need to be on an Administrator account to use Script-Ware M If you are not on an administrator account you need to gain access to one, there is no way to use Script-Ware M without an administrator account.

iOS

Once you've purchased Script-Ware iOS and created your account you are ready to get started with running scripts from the comfort of your device. If you've purchased and are having issues, please create a support ticket through our dashboard.

The first step is to ensure your device is jailbroken if it isn't jailbroken. If your iOS device is already jailbroken and ready, please head to "Installing Script-Ware iOS"

Jailbreaking (CURRENTLY REQUIRED!)

Jailbreaking is an exploit that allows you to have more privileges on your iOS device. It removes the restrictions that the developers have given the operating system. Script-Ware iOS takes advantage of this new unrestricted environment in order to provide you with powerful script execution.

Unable to jailbreak your device?

You cannot use Script-Ware iOS. You have five days since you have purchased (only if you have never used Script-Ware iOS) to get a refund. Email [email protected] with all the required information, including the account email address, account username, and, most importantly, your receipt.

iOS 14.8.1 is currently jailbreakable via unc0ver. If you're on an iOS version higher than this please refer to the above statement.

We will provide you with a brief tutorial on how to jailbreak, however, please take your own time to do research.

Backing up your data

Before continuing please ensure your personal data has been backed up to a computer. In the rare chance that something goes wrong, you are able to wipe your device and restore it to your freshly done backup.

This is a demonstration of how to backup your device via iTunes on your computer. You may also refer to this video too.

  1. Please install iTunes onto your computer.
  2. Connect your device to your laptop with a charging cable.
  3. You will get a popup asking you to allow access to the device, press 'Yes'. Unlock your device, and click "Trust this computer".
  4. Please ensure you have enough storage on your computer to back the device up to.
  5. In iTunes, there is a small device image at the top left, click that image button.
  6. Press "Back-up now".
  7. Set a password if this is your first time. Make sure you remember this password.
  8. Keep your phone connected and wait for the backup to complete (look at the blue progress bar at the top).
  9. Congratulations, your data has been backed up!

Now you can continue knowing your data will be safe if something was to happen to your device.

For iPhone X or older, iPad 6th and 8th generation, iPad Mini 2nd through 4th generation, and iPad Air/Pro 1st and 2nd generation.

If you are on an iPhone X or older, please jailbreak via checkra1n, refer to this current video for an in-depth tutorial on how to do so: https://youtu.be/0YRyW0bOz1Y

For any other iOS device

For these devices, the unc0ver jailbreak is best. Please follow this YouTube video in order to jailbreak your device.

https://youtu.be/CRI98eo6wnI

In most cases, jailbreaking is entirely reversible, meaning you will be able to go back to a point in your device where it isn't jailbroken. Especially with the aforementioned jailbreak methods.

Installing Script-Ware iOS

Now you've got your iOS device jailbroken, we can get started with installing Script-Ware iOS.

Script-Ware iOS is not free, and nor will it be!

There are guaranteed to be fake "cracked" or "free" variants of Script-Ware iOS all across Cydia. The repo listed below is the only official repo, and you can verify this by looking at the URL of the repo. Be careful and take extra caution.

Firstly, open your Cydia app and navigate to the Sources:

Downgrading your ROBLOX application to continue using Script-Ware iOS

With the luxury of jailbreaking, you are able to quite simply downgrade your iOS application to the version Script-Ware iOS was written for up until we finalise the update for it, this means you can keep using Script-Ware iOS instantly after an update!

Similar to the way you installed the above tweak, go ahead and head to the search bar and search for "AppStore++", and make sure it's the correct one.

vmmTXXF5GtV97WzLnwUQq_image

Once installed, please head over to the App Store and go to the Roblox application.

Pick the version that is currently supported, or in most cases just downgrade by a single version from where you're currently at.

Done! Now you can keep using SW-iOS without needing to wait for an official update!
