About

Oracle VirtualBox is a virtualization solution that allows me to run multiple guest operating systems on a single physical host. It has provided me with the ability to create isolated environments for testing. In my cybersecurity homelab, VirtualBox serves as the foundation for simulating a multi-OS network environment. I run a combination of virtual machines—including Debian, Ubuntu Server, Windows 11, and Windows 7. This allows me to replicate real-world scenarios for vulnerability assessments, log analysis, and threat detection. I also run IBM QRadar within a VirtualBox VM to simulate a central SIEM system, and my Ubuntu Server VM hosts a Docker environment, allowing me to containerize tools.
