Merging Asteroids - midspace/SEToolbox GitHub Wiki

This page needs to be reviewed and updated for relevance and accuracy since moving to GitHub.

Asteroids can be merged, or subtracted.

Merging asteroids creates a union between the two selected asteroids. Subtracting asteroids, removes the volume of one asteroid from another, creating hollow spaces.

To merge or subtract two asteroids, select two asteroids from the list of entities in your save game, and choose "Selection", and "Merge 2 asteroids into 1".

From this new dialog, choose the Merge or Subtract action applicable.

This will generate a new asteroid in the same location of the two you have selected, but leave the originals intact. You must remove the original asteroids yourself.

Here we show the two original asteroids that were selected.
