[!IMPORTANT] If you need a prerequisite waived, you will need to contact the instructor of the course you are interested in taking or the current department chair in advance, even if you previously had that prerequisite waived for another class.

Declared CS majors

You can register for 300+ level classes without a waiver

Declared CS minors

You should fill out a form that will be circulated, you will be given waivers for 300+ level classes on the afternoon of your registration date.

Not a major or minor?

• 200, 201 are restricted in [BannerWeb][https://go.middlebury.edu/bannerweb/] to 1st and 2nd year students
• 202 is restricted to 1st, 2nd, and 3rd year students
• For 300+ level you will need to ask the individual instructors, who are teaching the course you want to register for, for a waiver and you will typically be able to register after CS majors and minors, if space allows.
