Lab03 ,Tech Journal

Overview: Within this lab I formatted/set up the basics of the DHCP machine. As well as added it to the DNS and created A and PRT records for it.

Logins for future labs:

user: michael

Password: DHCP10g1n

New commands:

diff command will list differences between two files.

rm command will remove/delete a file forever.

q command followed by a specific command will tell you information on the specified command through a manual.

  • Username: root
  • Password: Ch@mpl@1n!22
• Refer to Setting a static IP address on CentOS for the technical of how to set up this lab (Static IP LAB)
• Add a new user
• Add that user to the wheel group
• test ping to: google.com, and your other machines.
• Add an A and PTR record for this machine in the Active Directory
