Setting Configuration

This page allows one to view, edit, or delete settings that are software wide.

Note that while the software allows one to configure multiple settings in case one would like to pre-configure settings for different systems, only the one set to "Default" is used by the software on that system.

Click on an existing setting to edit it or use the "ADD SETTING" button (top right) to add a new one.

Editing a Setting

Description of Fields

Server: The name of the server associated with the search setting. This makes it easier to track different desired settings across servers.

Install folder: The folder base folder MetaProD is installed into. For example, the base folder might be /home/metaprod/install rather than /home/metaprod/install/MetaProD. Do not include the MetaProD directory.

Memory: How many memory to use for certain programs (SearchGUI/PeptideShaker/Reporter).

Searchgui ver: Version of SearchGUI to use. SearchGUI occasionally gets updated so this allows one to update to a new version after the program is installed and extract into the "install folder"/software folder.

Peptideshaker_ver: Version of PeptideShaker to use.

Reporter_ver: Version of Reporter to use.

Threads: Number of threads to use. Use -1 to specify to use all available threads.

Debug mode: Internal setting. Should always be enabled for now.

Data folder: Folder all the data is stored in.

Max retries: Number of times to retry a file before considering it "Failed".

Default: Checkbox to indicate this setting should be used for this server.
