What is the Tide-Pool Project?

This project simulates the tide in the two tanks in the Marine Lab at Minnesota State University Moorhead. It simulates the tide by having two containers. One container is the tide-pool, everything here is measured with respect to what it does to the tide pool. The other container is the lagoon. Currently, the lagoon has stingrays. The code simulates tides by pumping water from one container to the other. As the first containers drains, the other container fills. The tide cycle is switched after 6.5 hours and the first container is then filled with the water from the other container. This process repeats indefinitely. The tide should oscillate between 15 cm and 40 cm from the ultrasonic sensor. The tidal level is collected via an ultrasonic sensor and sent to Adafruit IO for storing and graphing. Only one pump should be on at a time, and the pump should switch on and off every five minutes to slow down the tidal interval. The pump changing from on and off is to ensure the water doesn't spend too much time at extreme levels.

Guides

If you are a user of the tidal system and want to know more (e.g. Biology student), see this documentation.

If you want to add new features and extend stuff, see this documentation. By documentation, I mean the README.md for the Tide-Pool project.
