Welcome, Inge. Introductions.
iPres
METS Tutorial: Juha suggests taking a lighter, less detailed approach to presenting METS, relying more on case studies. The Board agreed. Karin will present the METS background while Juha and Sean will plan to structure their portions as use cases. This particular session will not be working with PREMIS, but solely as METS tutorial. Registration for iPres is now open, places will be limited. Inge will check to see if places will be held for presenters. Joint Workshop (PREMIS and METS), to which Karin added the Oxford Common File Layout (OCFL), to learn more about it and see how it works with other standards and solutions.
METSRights
Make header changes and distribute to group, followed by posting to METS web site. The schema will need documentation. It is not clear how much appetite there is for a future revision.
Github issues
Github issues remain; Aaron has been reviewing the issues. Board members should review. We need to decide who is reviewing and applying pull requests. We have unsourced translations. XLink is still a problem: same namespace, two schemas.
Information needed from Tom
Robin will look into transferring administration of the Trello board, and will email Tom H to see 1) if there are locations of documentation other than LoC, github, SocialText (is everything moved over?), and 2) if he is finished with any open github issues that he’s associated with.
METS Registry Webpage
Need to decide if we want to maintain the http://www.loc.gov/standards/mets/mets-registry.html and http://www.loc.gov/standards/mets/mets-registry.html and if so, review the content. Currently Karin’s name and the METS listserv are listed as contacts.
Commenting Schemas
No known best practice other than revision history. Suggestions include maintaining the changes in Github once we figure out how to get previous history represented in this environment,

Defer to next meeting.
Future of METS Profiles and Profile Registry
Needs further discussion.
