Setting the distance of M6 and L5 (Galvo to Scan lens)
Overview
To align the distance between M6 and L5, a parallel (collimated) beam is sent through L5. By focusing it on M6, the distance is set such that
telecentric scanning conditions can be reached. This is an example
of backward alignment
Setting up the alignment collimator on the main rail
Ensure the exiting beam is collimated.
Using the alignment collimator to set the distance between the 50 mm lenses and the scanners
To achieve this you will need to move the focus ring, which is the inner plastic ring next to the external lens body.
As you turn it, you will see the numbers move on the window in the lens body.
The parallel beam from the alignment collimator should be focused on the scanners
