The Import From JSON restores the database connections to create a Mapx file. The Mapx can be imported into the current project or saved to a Mapx file on disk.

Usage

Click the Import From JSON Button in the AddIn Toolbar

The Import pane becomes visible. Browse to the JSON file you wish to import.

Click OK When you are not logged in to ArcGIS Enterprise you are prompted to login:

Log in with an username with Administrator or Publisher privilege on ArcGIS Enterprise The JSON will be analysed and matching database connections from ArcGIS Enterprise will be shown in the table

When your ArcGIS Enterprise has multiple connections with the same username to different databases, the dropdowns will contain these databases. Select the database from the dropdown to restore the json to Mapx with. When the dropdown is empty for a given key, there is no matching database connection found on the ArcGIS Servers in your ArcGIS Enterprise. Make sure to register the database connection before restoring the Mapx. Click Import to restore the connections and import the Mapx to the current Project. Or Select Save to Mapx file, set the destination file and click Import
