Components overview
- GaiaBuilder Content Add-In
- ArcGIS Pro 2.5 or later
- ArcGIS Enterprise Base Deployment
Installation
ArcGIS Pro
- Download the GaiaBuilder Content Add-In for ArcGIS Pro
- Doubleclick the GaiaBuilder.ProAddIn.Content.esriAddinX to install the Add-In
Click install Add-In to confirm 3. Open ArcGIS Pro
Configuration
ArcGIS Pro
- Select the ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online Portal and Sign in to this Portal with Administative Privilege
- Open the Geoprocessing Pane
- Open the GaiaBuilder Content Publishing Toolbox
- Open the Add Environment Tool
- The Portal Url will be populated with the current Portal
- The ArcGIS Server URL is optional, enter the public URL of a federated ArcGIS Server when using GaiaBuilder Map Publishing
- The ArcGIS Server Admin URL is optional, enter the administrative URL of this federated ArcGIS Server when using GaiaBuilder Map Publishing
- Select Publish offline to ArcGIS Server when the Arcpy environment used for Mapservice publishing has trouble logging in to Portal
- The ArcGIS Server connection file this federated ArcGIS Server when using GaiaBuilder Map Publishing
- The Environment name is the unique identifier for your environment, this name should not contain any space of special character
- The Environment alias is will be displayed in ArcGIS Pro, this can contain spaces
- Enter the default rewrites. For more information see rewrites
- Enter a number to sort the Environments on.
- Click Run to Configure the Environment
- Repeat step 4 and 5 for each (upstream) ArcGIS Enterprise Environment
- When your Environments are separate installations on different servers, go to step 1 and Sign in to your next Environment and repeat steps 1 - 6 there
ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online
- Open a browser, navigate to the ArcGIS Enterprise or ArcGIS Online Portal and Sign in with the same Administrative account
- Go to Content, you will find the GaiaBuilder Environmentregistry as a hosted table
- Go to the Item Details and click the Data tab. The environment registered before can be found here. When necessary, the environment settings can be modified here. Make sure to enter valid JSON in the json field and do not alter any of the JSON keywords
- Go to Groups in your Portal, a new GaiaBuilder Users group can be found there. Open the new group
- The groups gives access to read the Environment registry and allows edits on the Item registry. Invite all users to this group which will use GaiaBuilder to deploy content to your ArcGIS Enterprise
