Overview

This section covers topics related to the infrastructure (servers, services, etc.) that our projects run on and how we interact with them (deployments, maintenance, troubleshooting, etc.).

⭐ Tip:
A spreadsheet of all known projects we host as of 08/11/2023 is available in this spreadsheet (read access limited to Up&Up staff, write access limited to certain users)

WPEngine (WPE)

WPEngine is a managed WordPress host. Their administrative tools and support team are excellent.

Server 1: upandupagency

Maintenance Requirements

  • For .Edu clients:
    • Plugin updates (recommended monthly)
    • WordPress updates (regular releases recommended monthly, security patches within 2-3 days of release)
    • PHP updates (recommended monthly, as needed to maintain compatibility with WPE services and the project's theme/plugins)
  • For landing page sites:
    • We do not currently provide updates to landing page sites after launch

None. This site was used to host Clemson Alumni Clubs before we had our own dedicated server.

Akamai Connected Cloud (ACC)(formerly Linode)

Akamai recently acquired Linode, our primary partner for legacy hosting. We no longer start any new projects on their infrastructure and all WordPress projects have been migrated to (WPEngine)[#wpengine-wpe].
