AAS Webclient

1. Quick start

The AAS Server webclient is an user-friendly web-tool for displaying AAS-Servers and its contents while providing filter and search functionalities. For a quick start access the following URL https://mercal03.github.io/TINF21C_Team1_AAS-Server-Webclient/.

2. Setup

To access this the full functionalities of the web-tool, you will need a basic web browser such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, or any other modern web browser. Make sure that your browser is updated to the latest version to ensure optimal performance and compatibility with the web-tool. If you are unsure which browser to use or how to update it, please consult the documentation provided by your browser's manufacturer. Additionally you have to install the plugin „Moesif Origin & CORS Changer“ which allows you to send cross-domain requests without receiving Cross Origin Errors.

After installing the plugin make sure to turn it on while using the web-tool and afterwards turn it off again for security reasons.

3. AAS web-tool

When entering you will be greeted by the following home page: image

The page and its elements can be seperated in the following parts:

3.1. Server Menu

In the server menu you can import AAS-servers by their URLs or choose from the four predefined options : image

To import an AAS-server add the corresponding URL into the text input field in the server menu dropdown and hit the „Add Server“-button. Next to the „Server Menu“-button will the current server be displayed.

3.2. Filter Menu

The web-tool allows for filtering for specific assets by the name of their manufacturer, manufacturing year or by their name. To filter for a manufacturer, select the „Manufacturer“-dropdown and choose one of the manufacturers or enter one in the text input field and hit the „Search“-button to start filtering: image

To filter by the manufacturing year, select the „Year“-dropdown and choose between „oldest first“, which shows the oldest first and the newest last, or „newest first“, which shows the newest first and the oldest last: image

To filter by the asset name use the the text input field on the very right of the filter menu and start typing the asset name. The webtool will start suggesting assets depending on your input: image

3.3. Asset View

After choosing your server and what assets you want to see, you will be able to see them right below in the asset view: image

On the very left you will always have a preview of all the assets available after importing an AAS-server and after filtering (if wanted). From the preview you can select any asset you want to see the details of, which will be displayed on the right half:
