Settings - mbucchia/Oasis-Driver-for-Windows-Mixed-Reality GitHub Wiki
Settings are available through the SteamVR Settings menu, under the Windows Mixed Reality section.
Basic Settings
Clear Environment Data
This option can be used to reset the spatial tracking data, similar to the option with the same name under the original Windows Mixed Reality implementation. This option shall be used when experiencing issues with tracking or when making significant alterations to the room environment (eg: changing orientation of the desk, moving furnitures). This option requires restarting SteamVR.
Turn Off Controllers on Exit
This convenience option can be used to extend the duration before the controllers will shut themselves down after exiting SteamVR. The controllers will eventually turn off due to inactivity, even when this option is set to No.
Brightness
This option allows overriding the brightness via software gamma correction.
Use Proximity Sensor (Presence)
This option enables passing "user presence" to applications (whether the user is wearing the headset). Some applications may use the user presence to automatically pause the game or for certain gameplay elements. This option requires restarting SteamVR.
Distortion Correction Right (Preferred)
This option allow the user to manually correct "cross-eye" distortion issue or incorrect "eye height" issue. Slowly adjust the value until your vision and comfort improve.
Use Eye Tracking
This option - only useful with HP Reverb G2 Omnicept - can be used to turn off eye tracking. This can be useful if experiencing crashes when eye tracking is available with your headset. This option requires restarting SteamVR.
Advanced Settings
These settings are for expert users. Do not modify them if unsure. Do not blindly follow online videos and tutorials.
To unlock the settings, you must toggle "Advanced Settings" to "Show" in the bottom left corner.
Emulate Oculus Touch Controller
This option can be used with games that do not support the Windows Mixed Reality motion controller buttons. It forces SteamVR to show your motion controllers as if they were Oculus Touch controllers (widely supported). On first generation Windows Mixed Reality controllers (with a trackpad), clicking on the left side of the trackpad simulates a press of the B/Y button, and clicking on the right side of the trackpad simulates a press of the A/X button. This option requires restarting SteamVR.
Vibration Strength
This option lets the user attenuate the motion controller haptics (vibration) effects.
Color Correction Mode - Advanced
This option allows overriding the gamma correction of individual Red-Green-Blue channels.
Horizontal & Vertical FOV Tangents
This option can be used to reduce FOV (and therefore rendering resolution). It will result in immersion being diminished due to the narrower FOV, with potential improvements in performance. This option requires restarting SteamVR.
Use Hidden Area Mesh
This option can be used to turn off the hidden area mesh (masked off region that is not seen due to optics distortion). It can be used when recording gameplay videos and you wish to see the whole screen in the recordings. This option requires restarting SteamVR.
Hidden Area Mesh Scale
This option is only visible when "Use Hidden Area Mesh" is set to Yes. It can be used to shrink or enlarge the size of the hidden area mesh, for example when using a non-standard FOV gasket with your headset. This option requires restarting SteamVR.
IPD Adjustment
This option allows the user to specify an Inter-Pupil Distance manually in order to improve perception (such as the "world scale").
Chromatic Aberration Correction
This option can be used to alter the chromatic correction per channel, as described in this tutorial.
Distortion Correction Left
This option mirrors the "Distortion Correction Right (Preferred)" option. It is used for advanced control when attempting to correct cross-eye or eye height issues.
