Only follow these instructions when instructed to do so by the developer.

THE LOGS COLLECTED THROUGH THESE STEPS MAY CONTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION, SUCH AS YOUR USER NAME OR YOUR COMPUTER NAME. BY PROCEEDING, YOU CONSENT TO SHARING THIS INFORMATION WITH THE DEVELOPER. YOU ARE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR PROPER HANDLING OF YOUR OWN PERSONAL DATA AND THE DEVELOPER ASSUMES NO RESPONSIBILITY WHEN HANDLING YOUR PERSONAL DATA BEYOND THE USE OF "REASONABLE PRECAUTIONS".

Creating a SteamVR Report

Click on the SteamVR Status window, then select "Create System Report".

In the dialog that appears, click "Save to File".

Capturing Advanced Traces

Exit your application and/or SteamVR before beginning.

In the Steam Library, go to "Oasis Driver for Windows Mixed Reality", then right-click on the application name in the left pane and click "Manage" then "Browse local files". A Windows File Explorer will open. Navigate to the "Tracing" subfolder.

In the subfolder, right-click on "Capture-ETL" and select "Run as Administrator".

Click Yes on the prompt asking permission to make changes to your device. A new window will open. DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW WITH THE X SIGN IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER.

With this window left opened, you may now reproduce your issue.

When done, go back to this window, and press any key to terminate collection of logs. DO NOT CLOSE THIS WINDOW WITH THE X SIGN IN THE TOP RIGHT CORNER.

A file named DriverTracing.etl was created in the "Tracing" subfolder.

Saving a Core Dump

After a crash, head to %LocalAppData%\CrashDumps and grab the most recent vrserver.exe.xxxxx.dmp file. The file shall be compressed before being sent over to the developer.
