The picnic basket is a new method of storing and carrying large amounts of food, added in Spring Oddities. Placing them down and right clicking on them with some food will insert it into the picnic basket. Right click again with an empty hand to remove the last inserted food item. Shift right clicking will insert or remove a stack of food items from the picnic basket.

Picnic baskets can hold up to 256 food items. The contents of the picnic basket are displayed on its tooltip, in the same format as a shulker box.
