The calendar is a new block that's used to tell you the date! Placing it on a wall and right clicking it will display the current date above your hotbar. If you right click on the calendar with a wine, it will instead display the age of the wine!

Time is measured in years and days, with one day being one minecraft day, and one year being 16 minecraft days. See the official Minecraft wiki for more information on how time in-game relates to time in the real world.
