The hardhat is a piece of armour that increases your reach by 2 when worn. It has no durability, and provides none of the benefits of normal armour such as damage reduction. However, it is compatible with enchantments such as respiration and aqua affinity, which can be added via an enchanting table!

As of version 4.0, the hardhat protects the player from falling blocks and anvils.
