Recommended Settings

To get the best experience possible, try these settings

RAM Allocation

  • Recommended: 4GB
  • Maximum: 8GB. Allocating any more than 8GB may hurt performance instead of helping it! Stick within the 4-8GB range for the best results!

Mac Compatibility

Theoretically, everything should just work on Mac, although this is untested. Feel free to open an issue if there are any Mac problems!

Historically, there have been some issues with running shaders on a Mac. Feel free to disable those if you run into any issues.

Lower-End Device Recommendations

If you're on a lower end device, try the following for some possible performance boosts.

  1. Disable shaders
  2. Lower your render distance (the server is locked at 8 chunks, so aim for 6)
  3. Turn down Distant Horizons (the default is 128, drop to 64 or 32)
  4. Disable particles: Embeddium has plenty of options to granularly disable particles
