Hi Jana, it's not clear from your question exactly how/what you want to use MATSim for. How you will install it will depend on your use case. Also, have you had a look at the MATSim website? There are sections on downloads/installation and on tutorials. Or the first few chapter(s) of the MATSim Book?

Alternatively there is a quick YouTube video on getting you started with the basic Graphical User Interface (GUI) version.
