Used RIP V2 to create pathways between routers. Used the Cisco CLI to do so.

Commands used:

router rip version 2 network xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx network xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx

Contrary to static routes, you only need to tell the router the IP addresses of the networks directly connected to the router itself. The protocol takes care of the rest as long as it is properly set up on all the routers.

Did not have any issues setting up rip, but noted that saving router settings prior to restarting them is something to remember.
