1. Intro - matei-tm/e-vent GitHub Wiki
A few years ago, I promised myself that every year I would contribute to an open source project. This year the choice was not difficult. It’s not hard to imagine that the project I chose is one that has to do with the word that changed everyone’s lives: COVID. In short, together with my friend Bogdan Abaza I chose to build an emergency ventilator based on the MIT project https://emergency-vent.mit.edu/ .
Our goal was, from the very beginning, to create a version based mostly on components that can be purchased on the Romanian market. In the end, investing two weeks of vacation and less than 1000 Euros, a superb mix came out with:
- Arduino Mega 2560 link
- metal laser cutting
- 3D printing
- custom PCB link
- Motor Gobilda link
