Create Descriptive Page Titles

• Make sure every page on your site has a title specified in the title tag
• Page titles should be descriptive and concise
• Avoid keyword stuffing

• Programmatically generate descriptions.
• Use quality descriptions
• Descriptions are truncated around 160 characters (give or take)

Prevent search engines from displaying DMOZ data in search results for your sites

Maximum number of characters in a website's title that is displayed on Google's SERPs varies between 50-70 and there is no set number. Google uses what it finds useful.
