To sync your watched state to www.trakt.tv there is a great plugin for plex called Plex-Trakt-Scrobbler. By installing this plugin you can sync both your own users watched state on movies and series to trakt, and your guests status if you go trough a few steps to create an account and authenticate your server.
Installing to Plex running in Docker
The installation is done in the same way as for a standalone linux server.
cd /home/pi/
sudo wget "https://github.com/ukdtom/WebTools.bundle/releases/download/3.0.0/WebTools.bundle.zip"
sudo unzip WebTools.bundle.zip
sudo cp -r WebTools.bundle /Docker/Plex/Config/Library/Application\ Support/Plex\ Media\ Server/Plug-ins/
Go to plex channels and verify that you have the WebTools plugin installed.
Open a new tab and go to http://192.168.1.2:33400.
Click on UAS and paste this link: "https://github.com/trakt/Plex-Trakt-Scrobbler" in the "Manual Installation URL" field and click "Manual Install", as soon as the wheel stops spinning, click on "Installed" on your right side and you should see Trakt.tv.
Go to http://trakt-for-plex.github.io/configuration and login either via your regular plex account or by using the PIN version. Next up is only to configure how you wanna configure it, standard would work fine for most usecases.
