The Cloud Workshop is an extension to a number of classes that I teach. The following summarizes a few of the technical areas that will be new and will provide a new learning experience.

• Spring Framework (Core, Security, JDBC) - An alternative stack to Java EE.
• Maven - A Build and Dependency Mgmt. Tool.
• GitHub - A Version Control System.
• JAX-RS API - Used to build a REST based the IoT Server App. in Java.
• Apache Tomcat Java Server - An alternative Java Application Server.
• LavaChart and Guzzle - Use to build the IoT Reporting App.
• Codenvy - A Cloud based IDE (or you can use Eclipse).
• OpenShift - A PaaS based Cloud.
