This article explains how to buy crypto with Coinbase Pay through Ledger Live. Upon purchase, your crypto will be sent automatically to your Ledger wallet. 

You can buy Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), USD Coin (USDC), XRP (XRP), Solana (SOL), Cardano (ADA), Dogecoin (DOGE), and more using ACH or a debit/credit card.

Before you begin

  • Make sure that your Ledger device runs the latest OS (firmware) version.
  • You will need an account for the crypto you want to buy.

How to buy crypto with Coinbase Pay

  1. Open the Ledger Live app.
  2. Tap the Transfer button and then tap Buy.
  3. Tap Compare providers.
  4. Select the crypto you want to buy and enter the amount.
  5. Select your country.
  6. Select ACH, Visa, Mastercard, or Maestro as a payment method and tap Find eligible providers.
  7. Select Coinbase as a provider.

Create a Coinbase account

If you don’t have a Coinbase account, you need to create one to continue. If you have an account, sign in:

  1. Enter your email address and password.
  2. Enter the 7-digit code you got in a text message.

Buy your crypto 

  1. In the Buy new asset tab, select the asset you want to buy, enter the amount, and the payment method. 
  2. Tap Preview buy.
  3. Review transaction details in the Ledger Live app and on your device.
  4. Tap Confirm.
  5. Tap Done.

Your crypto is on the way to your Ledger wallet.
