Inspire Standard

Inspire is an ISO to catalogue geographical file metadata. An example is available here.

Following this ISO, we would like to provide the user the following metadata:

General Requirements

Information Description Notes
File identifier An ID for each RINEX file uploaded To define the general rule of encoding to use.
Metadata language The language used in the RINEX file We have to use the code related to language encoding iso639-2
Point of contact The main information about the user that uploaded the observation Organization, E-mail, Role, ...
Date of the recording Date referred to the beginning of the recording It can include both timestamp and timezone

Identification Info

Information Description Notes
Resource Title A brief string that summarize the content of the file It has to be written in the metadata language e.g. "Land Use map of MyCountry"
Resource Abstract Non-empty brief narrative summary of the content of the resource
Temporal references Information related to the upload, that include the date of publication, date of last revision, date of creation To perform with code related to date encoding ’iso19139
Keywords for the resource A set of words that can help the user to find the relevant measurements for himself.
Geographic bounding box A set of coordinates that defines the area in which the recording was performed.
Validation A flag that helps the user to understand whether the recording has been checked and approved by a domain expert. This box contains also information about the expert user and when he validated the observation.
