Note
This guide is for flashing various Linux CFW distributions using an android device instead of needing a pc.
Tested on Huawei P30 Pro

There are a lot of different apps for downloading, unzipping and the flashing process. Here's what I have used:

partition is the most important file. Below is shown this process with the Huawei Filemanager.

Go to the Custom Firmware section on the wiki and download the latest image. The Panel 4 (V5) image is recommended (as of August 2024).

Open RAR and follow the steps below.

Insert the SD card in the TF1 slot of the R36S and boot up the device. Rom folders and other stuff will now be generated. This process takes about 5 minutes (wait till the EmulationStation menu is loaded). Now the SD card is ready and you can add your roms.
Have fun playing!

Replace the 📄rk3326-r35s-linux.dtb
file on the new card with the one you made a backup of in step 1.
