In Craft to Exile [Harmony], it is possible to craft your equipment until end game. Age of Exile equipment will drop from enemies, but is also craftable. On average, Age of Exile equipment will be better than vanilla equipment, but the difference is not substantial.
Gold equipment can be rarely crafted into magic find uniques, and will always craft to your level!
Note: only non-stone equipment from iron onwards can be salvaged!
