Spells - mahjerion/Craft-to-Exile-Dissonance GitHub Wiki
In Craft to Exile [Dissonance], there are 8 different skill trees to choose from. You can access the skill menu through the Mine and Slash hub (press H).
Note: you get to choose from an additional skill tree at level 10, and another at 100. Be careful allocating your first point as you cannot take back the point. However, it is possible to craft reset potions later on.

Let's take a look at the water skill tree:
The active spells are highlighted in yellow. Generally, the bottom-most skill in a 'chain' is the active skill, whilst the dependents (attached above) are synergies to the spells. You can equip spells by accessing the spellbar in the main hub (press H). Default keybinds have shift + 1...5 as the method of casting spells from your hotbar.
You'll also notice on the bottom left (highlighted in green) there is a 'skill mastery level'. This is represents your proficiency in the skill. You will notice that some spells require a minimum mastery before you can unlock it. For example, the first active skill on the bottom right, frost ball, requires a mastery of at least level 1 before you can learn it. Leveling your mastery will increase your stats as well, but your TOTAL mastery level is capped by your current level.
The bottom row, highlighted in red, consists of passive abilities/buffs that can be applied (usually by the active spells). For example, later on, frost ball is able to consume shiver stacks to deal more damage, and it is possible to level up the effectiveness of shiver by allocating skill points to it.
