Installation - mahjerion/Craft-to-Exile-Dissonance GitHub Wiki
Note: for any launcher you will need a valid Mojang Minecraft account. I will provide no support for cracked launchers.
I highly recommend the pasting the following arguments into your launcher, after the default args that come with your launcher, if any (make sure there are spaces between each argument):
-XX:+UseG1GC -Dsun.rmi.dgc.server.gcInterval=2147483646 -XX:+UnlockExperimentalVMOptions -XX:G1NewSizePercent=20 -XX:G1ReservePercent=20 -XX:MaxGCPauseMillis=50 -XX:G1HeapRegionSize=32M
At this current time, please use CurseForge.
Installing with CurseForge
The CurseForge desktop app is relatively new program on the Overwolf platform. This will be replacing the old Twitch App.
- Download and install CurseForge here.
- Upon starting CurseForge, you will see a number of games. Click 'Minecraft'.
- Choose where you want to save your instances and press 'continue'.
- 'Browse Modpacks' and search "Craft to Exile". You will see the Craft to Exile modpacks. Press 'install' for whichever version you prefer.
- You can now go back to 'My Modpacks' to view the packs you have installed. This is also where you will be launching the game from.
- Press 'Play' to launch the game!
- The first time you launch the modpack, CurseForge will install all the necessary components for you, then will ask you to log into your Minecraft account.
Installing with GDLauncher
- Download and install GDLauncher here.
- Upon starting the launcher, you will be asked to log into your Minecraft account. GDLauncher also ensures that you have the correct version of Java and allocates an appropriate (4 GB) amount of RAM by default.
- Click the '+' button in the bottom left to add a new instance.
- Click 'Twitch' at the top of the window and search for Craft to Exile.
- Download the latest version. GDLauncher will automatically set everything up for you.
- After that, just click on the pack and you're ready to play!
Installing with MultiMC
- Download and install MultiMC here.
- Head to the files tab of Craft to Exile [Dissonance] on CurseForge here.
- Click on the main file and download (don't install) it. You should end up with a zip file.
- Open MultiMC, and if you haven't already, select the language and Java (ensure you're using 64-bit) location. Also set your RAM usage here (recommended max of about 4 GB).
- Click 'Add Instance' in the top left, and then Import from zip on the left. Select your zip file you downloaded from CurseForge.
- Launch the pack from the right side bar and it should prompt you to add your Minecraft account (log in).
- Launch the game!
