General Tips & How To Use This Page
- Keep in mind, experimentation is unavoidable. Respec. potions are relatively cheap to craft.
- Starting at level 10, you gain access to a second Mastery tree.
- At max level (120), you will gain access to a third Mastery tree.
- Keep your total Mastery level equal to your level. Putting points into Mastery provides raw stats such as Mana, Health, Regeneration, etc. By putting one point into the Mastery tree per level, you'll be left with one point per level to spend on spells.
If you're first starting out, I recommend checking out the builds. Next to the author, the build name, and the modpack version, you'll find a short description of the build.
In each of the build guides you'll find the following:
- A Primer - showcasing the build and outlining the primary damage source and the defensive mechanism of the build.
- Masteries Guide - showing you what spells to prioritize and which secondary tree to get.
- Talent Tree Guide - giving you a rough outline of paths to take and which Gamechanger nodes are key to the build.
- Equipment Guide - Not necessarily the exact gears to wear, but the types of stats to look out for, and possibly key uniques to making the build work.
- What To Do After - For some builds, this is where you'll find what builds you can easily transition into or what to do next.

Builds
Melee
Mahj's Martyrdom Striker - this bruiser-style melee build scales off of HP and is a great way to start the game without worrying about defenses. The main spell of the build is Martyrdom, and the secondary tree is up to you.
Cinder's Leeching Fire [2.16.3] - this face-tanking, melee-slapping, fire-stick build is a surefire way to light up your day. This build scales defenses with damage by focusing on Lifesteal and its ability to be extremely bursty.
PieSauce's Storm Unga Bunga [2.16.3] - if you're looking to faceroll your keyboard with the highest lightning damage you could possibly muster up, look no further! This pure-damage build utilizes huge bonuses to lightning damage and synergies with mana to provide maximum output, while retaining some defensive structure in the form of Mana Battery.
Spellcaster
Mahj's Mana Battery Frostsparker - this spell-slinging build takes advantage of two strong AOE abilities early on, and transitions into one of the most self-sustaining and defensive spell-based builds without sacrificing too much damage!
MystiqNova's World On Fire [2.16.3] - ever want to just burn everything in the world? Do you have pyromantic-tendencies? Focused primarily on Fire Mastery, this build utilizes the great AOE effects and high single-target damage output of the Fire Mastery tree. "Clearing groups of enemies swiftly, like setting the whole world on fire."
Ranger
Mahj's Crit AoE Arrow Mob Deleter - warning: mobs will explode from a single arrow. This crit build relies on the powerful area of effect triggers from Exert and Critical Surge. It also deals fantastic single target DPS thanks to Imbue, and Hunting Mastery's innate strength against single targets. This is NOT a bleed build.
Cinder's Bow Haemorrhage [2.16.3] - if you're looking to bleed your enemies out from a distance while healing from their suffering, this is the build for you. This build takes advantage of quick hitting Hunting spells like Arrow Barrage to quickly apply stacks of bleed from Bleed Mastery, and relies on the Warlock node to quickly recuperate health.
Summoner
Mahj's EZ One-Bar Summoner - utilize two nodes that provide substantial cooldown reduction and summon damage to bring out an army of Zombies, Skeletons, and Wolves! This really easy to play build only requires you to upkeep your summons and apply one buff to them!
Mahj's Icy Burst Summoner - summon zombies, and scale your damage with magic shield while applying plenty of DoTs and crowd controls. This build takes advantage of summons triggering on-attack effects such as Arctic Breath and Soul Shred!
