Level 30 - 40 (Tier 2)

Atum is a sandy wasteland littered with ruins, pyramids, dungeons, and lighthouses. Sunspeakers call the lighthouses their home and are willing to trade with you, but be careful lest you anger them as they are quite capable in combat. Outside the safe walls of the lighthouses terrible monsters and men roam the wasteland.

By day, bandits will spawn in groups of 3 to 6 and try to attack you on sight. Be careful, as their aggro range is quite far, and a fight that start out with just a few of them can quickly become a battle against a small army. The bandits seem to go to bed at night, replaces by mummies, forsaken, and tarantulas. These mobs are also not to be trifled with. The mummies are slow but have lots of health, forsaken are much more fragile but also move much more swiftly, and tarantulas can spit and blind you from a distance.

The end goal of this dimension is to take on the pharaohs hidden within the pyramids that dot the landscape. It would be wise to craft some royal torches (with gold and coal) before venturing within as you’ll need to surround the pharaoh’s sarcophagus with 4 of them to start his fight. After defeating a pharaoh you will be rewarded with an assortment of treasure including a piece of royal armor.

How To Get There

To get to Atum you will need to create a “bowl” of Sandstone. The first layer of the portal is a solid 5x5 base of Sandstone. The second is another 5x5 with the inner 3x3 empty. You will need to create 4 towers of Sandstone, 2 blocks high at each corner and then fill in the middle 3x3 hole with water. Lastly throw in a Golden Scarab to activate the portal.
