SoGtk is a Linux/Unix GTK GUI library for Coin3D, a high-level, retained-mode toolkit for effective 3D graphics development. SoGtk is derived from SoGtk v0.1.0 with modifications made to support the Wizzer Works Magic Lantern projects.

SoXt is Free Software, published under the BSD 3-clause license.

Wizzer Works Offering

This project was created to provide a working version of SoGtk that is compatible with the Wizzer Works Magic Lantern project. Future versions of Magic Lantern will continue to track any work done in the original project at (https://github.com/coin3d/sogtk).

This version of SoGtk should work independently of Magic Lantern and may be used for projects that are not related to the Wizzer Works technology. The master branch is the original source obtained from the Github web site. The magiclantern branch contains the modifications made to support Magic Lantern. The modifications are documented at SoGtk 0.1.0 Modifications.

Build Environment

This library is dependent on the Coin project. Please build and install that project prior to building SoGtk.

SoGtk is built using CMake tools. It is maintained and tested on the Ubuntu 22.04 LTS 64-bit platform, although it should build for other Linux distributions.
