Test Checklist

Bootup

  1. Uninstall existing version.
  2. Load Extension.
  3. Restart Browser.
  4. Inspect service worker (browse: chrome://extensions/; click Details; click service worker):
    • Seven files successfully loaded
    • userInitialData.json unpacked & user variables set

Load simple chapter

  1. In omnibox (F6) type ors 96; enter.
  2. Confirm navigation ('https://www.oregonlegislature.gov/bills_laws/ors/ors096.html#96')
  3. Confirm 'Volume 3, Title 10, Chapter 96: Line and Partition Fences' & '[2023 EDITION]' in heading
  4. Confirm 'open & highlighted volume (3), title (10) & chapter (96:Line and Partition Fences)'
  5. Confirm TOC exists
  6. Confirm no error messages in service worker

Popup

  1. Locate popup in extensions (puzzle piece) menu & pin to toolbar.
  2. Confirm default settings:
    • Version (should match manifest & \README.md)
    • Display mode: Dark (popup should also be dark mode)
    • Session lookup source: Ore. Leg.
    • Checkboxes:
      • true (show repealed)
      • true (show source notes)
      • false (full width)
      • false (collapse by default)
      • true (show menu button)
      • false (show volume nav)
  3. Toggle each checkbox twice. For each:
    • Confirm operation changes and changes back on page
    • Confirm service worker shows "stored user data" & no errors
  4. Keep one changed.
  5. Close and reopen popup.
  6. Confirm that checkmark status stayed saved.
  7. Reload page (ORS 96).
  8. Confirm that changed checkmark status implemented.
  9. Confirm no errors on service worker
  10. Under Color scheme test "Dark Grey" & "Light"
  11. From popup, select non-custom option and select Set Custom Colors
    • Select a few colors and save.
    • Confirm change of colors on popup & on section.
  12. Return to Dark (or whatever you want to use)
