This page is a brain dump of all the things that we would like to add to dlFilter. If you value the benefits that dlFilter gives you and would like to help with any of these please submit a Pull Request or edit the wiki.

Major new functionality

• Merge in and extend sbClient functionality
• Trigger queuing - most servers have a limit of how many requests you can queue up - so watch for triggers being sent, queue acknowledgements being received from e.g. OmenServe and files being received and hold back triggers issuing them one by one as previously queued files are received.

Minor new functionality

• Ability to report lines which were not filtered when they should be
• Toolbar icons at various resolutions (will suit a graphics expert - contact Sophist for more details of what is required).
• Toolbar menus
• Filter summary statistics - display (in a custom window) a table of numbers of filters by type and the number of times they have been used
• Filter top xxx - display (in a custom window) a table (in descending order) the most frequently triggered filters.

Ongoing support

• Convert missing filter reports into Pull Requests
• Other bug fixing as and when bug are reported

Wiki improvements

• On all the Functionality pages:
  • for each section provide a screenshot of the options tab with the relevant options enclosed in a red box.
  • On the @find or @locate page, provide example screen-shot of results with rclick menu open and descriptions of the rclick options
  • Ops advertising - show a screen-shot of a channel with the Ops channel ad - or at least add the tet of the advert.
  • Ops chat - show a screen-shot
