Identified sub systems list
Sl.No | Sub System name |
---|---|
1 | Picking and Placing unit |
2 | Controlling unit |
3 | Structural Unit |
Interaction details:
Material Interactions: Solids, Liquids and Gases that flow from one sub system to next.
Energy Interactions: Energies that must be transmitted or shielded between sub systems.
Data Interactions: Signals(tactile, acoustic, electrical, visual, etc) that must be processed from one sub system to the next.
Spatial Interactions: Geometrical dimensions, degree of freedom, tolerances and constraints that must be maintained between the sub systems.
Sub System 1: Picking and placing Unit
Sub System 2 | Sub System 3 | |
---|---|---|
Material Interaction | 0 | 0 |
Energy Interaction | 1 | 1 |
Data Interaction | 1 | 0 |
Spatial Interaction | 0 | 1 |
Explanation: The picking and placing unit gains energy from the electrical power supplied by the structural unit.It is controlled by the data given by controlling unit in the form of gestures which requires energy. The structural unit has spatial interaction with subsystem 1 as it assists the subsystem 1 to bend or turn around to pick and place the objects.
Sub System 2: Controlling unit
Sub System 1 | Sub System 3 | |
---|---|---|
Material Interaction | 0 | 0 |
Energy Interaction | 1 | 0 |
Data Interaction | 1 | 1 |
Spatial Interaction | 0 | 1 |
Explanation: Picking and placing unit is controlled by the data given by controlling unit in the form of gestures which requires energy. Controlling unit gives data in the form of signals which are received by the transmitter in the Structural unit. The controlling unit has spatial interaction with the structural unit as the structural unit can be controlled by the controlling unit only upto a minimum range.
Sub System 3: Structural Unit
Sub System 1 | Sub System 2 | |
---|---|---|
Material Interaction | 0 | 0 |
Energy Interaction | 1 | 0 |
Data Interaction | 0 | 1 |
Spatial Interaction | 1 | 1 |
Explanation: There is production of mechanical energy in the interaction between the pick and place unit and the structural unit. The structural unit is attached to the mainframe such that it is in direct contact with the pick and place unit. Structural unit receives signals from the controlling unit in the form of data and then acts accordingly. The main component of the structural unit is attached to the end of the controlling unit. The structural unit sends data to the notification unit about the game results.
