The Great Beyond is the final destination of The Departed. Whether heaven or hell, the Great Beyond represents the Afterlife, and it is the Psychopomp's responsibility to guide The Departed to its gates. Also known as the Afterlife, the Hereafter, or the Final Destination, it is the concept of a realm, or the realm itself in which an essential part of an individual's identity or consciousness continues to exist after the death of the body in the individual's lifetime.
